We collect as little personal data as this website needs to function:

Technical Data

When you visit the site, your browser transmits your IP address and standard request details (pages visited, browser type) to our hosting provider. On pages with interactive maps, your browser also requests map tiles directly from our map provider, which sees your IP address in the process.

Usage Analytics

We measure page views with a cookieless analytics tool that works with aggregated, anonymized counts. No advertising or cross-site tracking takes place, and no analytics cookies are set.

If you use our request or contribute forms, we receive the information you enter: name, email address, and (where the form asks for it) company, position, and your message.

All three providers are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (including its UK and Swiss extensions), the EU-approved safeguard for transfers to the United States.

Research Data

The e-scooter telemetry this project analyzes is provided in anonymized form under Bolt's terms of service and privacy policy. It contains no names, accounts, or other identifiers, and we cannot link it back to any individual rider. Accessibility data derived from it is published as open data through OpenStreetMap and contains no personal data.

Data Retention

Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any agreed follow-up; you can ask us to delete them at any time. Hosting and security logs are retained for short periods defined by our hosting provider. Aggregated analytics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Data Sharing

We share the accessibility data this project produces publicly through OpenStreetMap under its open database license, where it benefits the mapping community and accessibility research. We never share your personal data.
